
Mexicano corn chips are made to a traditional Mexican recipe. The New Zealand grown GM free dried corn is cooked and soaked over night, then ground with special stones made from Mexican volcanic rock. These stones give the Masa (ground corn) its authentic texture and colour. The chips are carried on conveyer belts over hot gas flames to dry them. They are then cooled and deep fried in the best quality vegetable oil. We use no salt, additives or preservatives in our masa to keep the real corn flavour. Mexicano corn chips are ideal to eat with dip or simply on their own. Perfect for nachos.
